They say every non-profit charitable organisation should have a BEQUEST PROGRAM JoyRon Foundation is no exception.
Bequests are the transfers of wealth that occur upon the donorโs death. Bequests can take several forms such as:
Specific bequest โ a certain amount of cash, securities, or property.
General bequest โ property that is similar to all other items distributed, usually cash.
Percentage bequest โ a stated percentage of the donorโs estate.
Residual bequest โ is all or a portion, of what remains of an estate, after specific and general bequests have been distributed.
Besides an outright bequest, donors can also set up a trust to benefit charity organisations during or after their lifetime. Such will bequest or trust fund set up should be exempt from any inheritance tax or general tax liability.

For a variety of reasons, individuals are often not able to give as generously during their lives as they might like. Leaving a gift in one ฬs will is a great way to support the vital work of a charity, especially if the charity is for a cause that you have always wanted to support, but were unable to. Charities play a vital role in filling the gaps that governments and society have overlooked.
By leaving a percentage of your estate, or a sum of money or other assets to a charity, such as Fundacion JoyRon, in your will you will be positively affecting the lives of a number of children in need within the Baleares, who would otherwise remain wanting.
If you decide to make a will bequest/gift or set up a trust fund in favour of Fundacion JoyRon, regardless of the size it will be gratefully received by the Foundation and the children in need that will benefit. That suggests appropriate prompting when considering a Will is acceptable. We hope our gentle prompt encourages you to give due consideration. At JoyRon Foundation we currently have two will bequests on file.
Celebrate Christmas or your Birthday by asking for gifts or cash for the Children in lieu of presents for yourself.
When asking for guests to a Birthday or Christmas party or other celebration event, to part with their cash, you can be sure that your guests will want to be told how it is intended to use the money. It is therefore always best to clearly state where and for what cause the money will be donated to. Charitable donations as a Birthday/Christmas present can very much be a popular way to share some of your good fortune with those in need.
Herewith is a story of a Spanish gentleman on his 40th birthday, asked his guests attending his party celebration to donate cash instead of buying him birthday presents. He advised his guests that he wanted the money to go to JoyRon Foundation to support a project that they were undertaking to build a swimming pool at a school and day care centre for children with Cerebral Palsy. The result was that the foundation received โฌ 2,750.00. This type of story has since been repeated by various fund-raising persons, in support of the charitable financial requirements within the foundation.
Raise funds in memory of a loved one by requesting cash donations or purchase of presents for Children in Need rather than receive flowers at a funeral.
โFundraising in memoryโ is an increasingly popular procedure to ask for donations to a worthwhile charity instead of funeral flowers. You can of course have a cash collection at the funeral service. A funeral director will almost certainly oblige, if asked to organise this, and send the money to the chosen charity. However, almost certainly much more money can be raised and therefore more achieved, if people are requested to donate direct to a fundraising website or direct to the selected charitable cause. It generates far less emotion and gives more privacy when the donation is a transfer payment and not cash. It can also have far more impact if the donations are wrapped gifts for local children in need. Join a Team Event or Undertake an Independent Challenge.
Often participating in a team event encourages one to complete the task together with the assistance of others. In addition any personal independent challenge proves to be easier to accomplish if it is sponsored.
As with most fund raising events, get mobile for charityโenter a fun run, walk, or bike ride event and have family, friends and colleagues sponsor you. In the past Fundacion JoyRon, lead by its President has entered a team of walkers who have participated in the annual Palma to Lluc Walk, historically the first Saturday in August every year.
Undertake a personal challenge and be sponsored -Action a weight loss campaign, or give up chocolate or give up smoking, or learn a new skill, are just a few examples.
Hold a talent contest or karaoke night. Challenge your friends to perform by sponsoring their talent together with others.

Organise your own Fundraising Event for the benefit of JoyRon Foundation
If you as a company or small business or as an individual would like to consider organising your own fund raising event for the benefit of the JoyRon Foundation and thereby to bring some joy, comfort and/or support to a child or children in the Baleares who are in need, then please do so.
The foundation will ensure that all monies donated are 100% passed onto and spent effectively to the children in need. We check and ensure the money is fully used for the benefit of the child/children. If you or the company require any assistance in the event organisation then one or more of our volunteers can be made available to assist if needed. Please note the donation of the net proceeds of any such event could be eligible for the organising company or individual to receive a Spanish Tax Deductible Donation Certificate.- see Financial Donations Corporate or Private icon tag.

Within JoyRon Foundation we are privileged to have some individuals who not only support us from a financial aspect, but also undertake a Volunteer role to support us with various tasks in their spare time.
In addition, we have many volunteers whose private wealth is not sufficient to support the foundation from a financial perspective, but they are very willing to support the foundation either by bringing a specific skill set to the table or to be there as and when needed to undertake a general administrative task in support of an event or some aspect of on-going support within the foundation on an as and when required basis.

Volunteering also enhances your ties to the community and broadens your support network, exposing you to people with common interests, neighbourhood resources and occasionally fun activities.
Another value gained by being volunteer is increasing your social and relationship skills. While some of us are naturally outgoing and talkative people, some are shyer and find it harder meeting new people. By volunteering, it is giving you the opportunity to practice and develop your social skills. If you are meeting and working regularly with a group of people with similar interests to yourself, it is easier to become comfortable and use this momentum outside of your volunteering group.

When volunteering for JoyRon Foundation there are a number of different opportunities and events you can help with. As we are a charity that focuses solely on Helping Children in need in the Baleares, we are always looking to organise events, fun days and other fundraising opportunities.
The main benefit of being a JOYRON VOLUNTEER is being part of a great team and a great cause.
On a quarterly basis, all Volunteers, Management, Advisory Associates and Volunteers are invited to an Information and Social evening event for a one hour information exchange, followed by a social relaxed buffet/barbeque or finger style food and wine gathering, so that our volunteers are kept informed in person and have the opportunity to get to know each other.
JoyRon Foundation relies on coordinating various fund raising events to generate funds for the charitable causes it supports. Many if not most of these fund raising events are ideal opportunities to raise funds by the organisation of a raffle during the event. Some events, such as the JoyRon Annual Gala Dinner, also justify the holding of an auction. Hence the foundation is always delighted to receive from companies and individuals the donation of raffle prizes and items to auction, in order to raise funds.
Almost all companies have products or services that they could consider donating, such as a restaurant donation of a voucher for dinner and wine or a hairdresser to donate a hairdressing appointment, or a gym to donate a number of training sessions etc etc. In addition almost all individuals have access to companies that they can approach for such similar raffle prizes. In fact, all of us have tucked away in our bottom drawers, those unwanted gifts from the past, many of which could make ideal raffle prizes if they are still classified as unwanted.
With respect to auction prizes usually items valued in excess of euro 1,000 but not less than euro 500 can with the right audience raise large sums of money for the benefit of the foundation and thereby for the benefit of the Children in Need. When the foundation organises a raffle or an auction, All companies are individually named of the raffle prize listings and also individually named and promoted during the auction.
We seek to carry a stock of Raffle Prizes for upcoming raffles, thereby easing the workload close to the date of the fund raising event. However in view of the monetary value of auction items these are sought some two months prior to the actual auction event, but always nice to know what could be available at the time of need.
Therefore the foundation is always in need of companies or individuals who are willing to donate raffle prizes and items that can be auctioned. If you are a company or an individual, that would be willing to donate such items to the foundation from time to time. Please let us know.
One of the many ways to support JoyRon Foundation irrespective of whether you are a corporation or a private individual is to make a financial donation to the foundation. If you are a corporation or a small business it is a way to give something back to the local community, in order to help the the Children in Need in the Baleares. If you are a private individual hopefully it will give you a level of self satisfaction knowing your money is also helping the same children. Please note the Foundation does not receive any funding from the Spanish Government.
The Benefits of Making a free donation (no conditions attached) in exchange for a Spanish Tax Deductible Certificate
In Spain donations to a charity can be tax deductible. If the charity is recognised as an official charitable body, then you are allowed to deduct as a corporation some 34% approx, and as an individual some 27% approx, of your total donation from your tax bill. i.e. Your tax bill is directly reduced โ provided it is not a deduction from taxable income. One condition is that you must be able to if requested, produce an authorised certificate from the charity concerned, showing that the donation was made by a bank transfer to the foundation.
Fundacion JoyRon (JoyRon Foundation) is registered to provide such Tax Deductible Donation Certificates for Spanish Tax Payers (both individuals and companies). At this point in time we issue such certificates, when requested by the donator on any donation(s) amounting to 500โฌ or more for a company 250โฌ or more for an individual within the same tax year. For any company that agrees to donate a minimum of euro 500 per annum for a minimum of two consecutive years, JoyRon Foundation will classify them as a Corporate Collaborating Partner to the foundation and we will add them to our collaborating partner page on our website. Your Donation payment will be 100 % used for the mission and purpose of the foundation to Help and Support the Children in Need in the Baleares. Your support, no matter how big or small, can help make a huge impact in a child`s life and will make an immediate and lasting difference for the vulnerable children by supporting our community service projects for the children in need via the JoyRon Foundation.
Your donation payment must be made by a Bank Transfer to be eligible for a Spanish Tax Deductible Donation Certificate. If no certificate is required then the donation payment can be made by a credit card payment if you so desire.
